Hello football fans! Welcome back to some playoff football!
We’ve seen each team separate themselves from their enemies in convincing fashion. The Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks, Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers defended their home turf against their opponents.
Houston took advantage of the Oakland Raiders’ quarterback situation. They’ll face a well-rested and healthy New England Patriots team.
Seattle showed the 12th man is as strong as ever against the Detroit Lions. They’ll travel to Atlanta and face the Falcons led by MVP candidate Matt Ryan.
Pittsburgh made short work of the Miami Dolphins. They will face a determined Kansas City Chiefs team who want nothing more than to prove they are not one and done.
Green Bay used divine intervention to vanquish the New York Giants. They’ll need more of that taking on their second NFC East team in the Dallas Cowboys.
Before these teams take the field starting Saturday, let’s see how the Wild Card round came together. I went 3-1 to start the playoff campaign. Here’s a recap of what I got right and wrong:
AFC Wild Card
(5) Oakland Raiders at (4) Houston Texans
(6) Miami Dolphins at (3) Pittsburgh Steelers
NFC Wild Card
(6) Detroit Lions at (3) Seattle Seahawks
(5) New York Giants at (4) Green Bay Packers X
Here are my picks for the second round!
(3) Pittsburgh Steelers at (2) Kansas City Chiefs
(4) Houston Texans at (1) New England Patriots
(3) Seattle Seahawks at (2) Atlanta Falcons
(4) Green Bay Packers at (1) Dallas Cowboys
Check your local listings for when each playoff game airs. Good luck to all teams and those who are also making picks as well.
