Hello football fans! Welcome to Week 2 of the 2016 NFL season.
After the first week, we had quite a few questions surface.
Can the concussion protocol stand as perhaps Carolina’s Cam Newton can rebound from the hits he took in Denver? Will New England’s Jimmy Garoppolo continue to win this week?
Speaking of quarterbacks, will Jared Goff start this week hosting Seattle? In fact, who’s going to start for Cleveland now that Robert Griffin III is on the injured reserve list?
Luckily, some good news happened in Week 1. Jack Del Rio made a gusty call that propelled his Raiders to overcome the Saints. In Dallas, Victor Cruz made a comeback and scored the eventual game-winning touchdown for the Giants. The Carson Wentz era began in the win column in Philadelphia. Lastly, Cincinnati made sure the NFL didn’t forget about AJ Green while schooling Gang Green in a nail-biter.
The only game to finish in an anticlimactic manner was San Francisco’s shutout over Los Angeles. Other than that, it was battles throughout the league for Week 1.
I went 9-7 for Week 1. Here’s a recap of what I got right and wrong:
