The playoffs are upon us!

Welcome to the Wild Card weekend. The road to the Lombardi Trophy nears its end, as the real test of the best NFL teams starts this weekend. For starters, let’s wrap up this NFL season.

I finished with 162 wins and 94 losses. Here is a look back at my last week of 2013.

The Wild Card will feature four intriguing matchups. In the AFC, the Indianapolis Colts will face the Kansas City Chiefs, and both enter the playoffs 11-5. The Cincinnati Bengals (11-5) will host the San Diego Chargers (9-7), who squeaked their way in thanks to beating the Chiefs in overtime and had help in losses to Miami, Pittsburgh and Baltimore. The winners of both games will face Denver or New England, with the lowest seed facing Denver.

In the NFC, the Philadelphia Eagles will take on the New Orleans Saints in a battle of high-powered offenses. The Green Bay Packers will battle the San Francisco 49ers in a Week 1 rematch. Unlike their first encounter, frigid weather could play a factor in Lambeau. The winners will take on Seattle and Carolina, with the lowest seed meeting the Seahawks.

Saturday’s Predictions

Colts over Chiefs: both teams can make a run. However, Indianapolis looks more like the complete team of the two.

Saints over Eagles: the Saints are 0-6 on the road. But they head into Philadelphia with a better defense and an offense waiting to pick apart the Eagles.

Sunday’s Predictions

Bengals over Chargers: San Diego could pull off an upset. Yet, the Bengals need to win this game more. It’s time for the Bengals to step up on both sides of the field.

Packers over 49ers: any team can become the road warriors, especially this 49ers team who made the Super Bowl last year. However, a returning Aaron Rodgers and terrible weather conditions could help derail the 49ers’ chances.
