2013 NFL Week 2 Wrap-Up (and Thursday’s pick)

September 18, 2013

Two weeks of the NFL season are in the books. We’re starting to see sings of life from teams who are for real and teams who still need work.

The AFC East is off to a strong start with no team currently having a losing record. In fact, the Miami Dolphins are tied with the New England Patriots for first. However, the NFC East contains many problems. Any team can win that division because no team has shown why they should be taken seriously.

Here are my picks from Week 2. I went 12-4 this week, bringing my season total to 22-10 for the first two weeks. Take a look at what I got right and wrong below:

Patriots over Jets

Falcons over Rams

Ravens over Browns

Panthers over Bills X

Bears over Vikings

Packers over Redskins

Texans over Titans (s.o.)

Colts over Dolphins X

Chiefs over Cowboys

Chargers over Eagles

Lions over Cardinals X

Saints over Buccaneers

Broncos over Giants

Raiders over Jaguars

49ers over Seahawks X

Bengals over Steelers

This Thursday night’s game will be a reunion in Philadelphia for Kansas City coach Andy Reid. He returns to take on the Eagles. Both teams look pretty good, with the Chiefs going 2-0 and the Eagles 1-1. Philadelphia lost at home to San Diego in a heartbreaker 33-30. Don’t expect them to lose two at home. I’m picking the Eagles to hand the Chiefs their first loss of the season.

Let me know on the comments below if you disagree or not. Plus, tell me which team has impressed you the most and why.
