2011 NFL Week 14 Picks

Thursday December 8, 2011

Welcome to Week 14 of the NFL season. Green Bay is still undefeated! They and 49ers became the first two teams to clinch playoff spots and their divisions. The Saints continue to show their dominance. Tim Tebow keeps on Tebowing! What will happen this week? First, let’s take a look back at Week 13. I went 11-5 last week, bringing my total to 120 wins and 71 losses. The asterisk next to the St. Louis/San Francisco game means I got my shutout! That makes two games this year! Pittsburgh shutting out Seattle in Week 2 was my first.

Game of the Week:

Our game of the week features two teams in desperation mode.

The New York Giants take on their rivals the Dallas Cowboys at Texas Stadium on Sunday night. Both are coming off devastating losses. The Giants lost at home to the Packers thanks to a last minute drive by Aaron Rodgers. The Cowboys lost in overtime to the Cardinals thanks to a crucial mistake calling timeout before their kicker attempted a potential game-winning field goal. It resulted in a short kick, and Arizona capitalized later.

This game means everything to both teams. They will battle for first place in their NFC East Division. A win for the Cowboys would crush the Giants’ playoff hopes. However, the Giants strike when you least expect it.

Prediction: Giants 24-14
