2011 NFL Week 13 Picks

Wednesday November 30, 2011

Welcome to Week 13 of the NFL season. We’re down the stretch as teams make their playoff pushes. Teams such as the Packers and Saints continue their dominance over the NFC. Meanwhile, the AFC is still up in the air. No clear top contender has emerged from that conference. I went 12-4 last week, bringing my total to 109 wins and 66 losses. Here is a look back at what I got wrong.

Here is your game of the week.

Game of the Week:

NBC decided to enact their flex game, meaning they can change their originally scheduled games for a better option. Out went Indianapolis at New England, and taking their place is an NFC showdown between two potential NFC Championship teams. The Saints dissected the Giants after their bye week, and they continue their home stand against the Detroit Lions. The Lions might be without DT Ndamukong Suh as he appeals his two-game suspension. If the appeal works, Suh could play against the Saints. However, this is the Lions’ biggest test to date. The Lions’ defense has looked good all year. Now, they have to stop a Saints offense which is seemingly unstoppable in recent memory. The Lions are capable of stopping this offense. Yet, is should be business as usual for the Saints.

Prediction: Saints 34-24
