2011 NFL Week 12 Picks

Wednesday November 23, 2011

Welcome to Week 12 of the NFL season. This special Thanksgiving week features many teams grateful for their standings. It also features other teams not so thankful for their current fortunes. Here is the Game of the Week.

Game of the Week:

Our game of the week airs tomorrow, and it’s the first game before turkey time.

The undefeated, reigning and defending Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers travel to Detroit to take on the Lions. Both of these rivals are looking forward to this game. The Lions want to end the Packers’ undefeated record. Their offense and defense are set to take them on. The Packers are also ready, as the 10-0 champions want to continue their dominance over the NFL. However, bad memories haunt Green Bay. They lost to the Lions last year at Detroit, and Packers QB Aaron Rodgers was taken out the game. History doesn’t help when the last time the Packers were 10-0 against the Lions on Thanksgiving Day, the Lions beat them in 1962. Heading towards tomorrow, this rivalry emerged being competitive once again. Both want to make a statement. If the Lions beat the Packers, then they can lay their claim as legitimate contenders. If the Packers win, they can show they are still the best. Expect this game to be a pure example of hard knock, smash mouth football

Prediction: Packers 17-14
