Welcome to week three of the NFL.  Last week, surprising teams went 2-0.  Others flopped (more ways than one).  Here’s a recap of week 2 with my picks.  I went 10-6, bringing my total to 19 wins and 13 losses.  Plus, my shutout came true last week when the Steelers beat the Seahawks 24-0.

Games of the Week:

The games of the week can dictate the NFC East.  The Eagles host the Giants, while the Cowboys host the Redskins.  Both the Eagles and Cowboys are in good shape, except for their quarterbacks.  Eagles QB Michael Vick suffered concussion symptoms but passed tests for tomorrow’s game.  Cowboys QB Tony Romo suffered a broken rib and a punctured lung. The lung has healed, and Romo might play Monday night despite a broken rib.  Their well-being is not the only thing on the line.

The Giants and Redskins need to make statements this football week.  The Giants need to beat the Eagles and end their losing streak against them.  Plus, they need a convincing victory after Monday’s fiasco against St. Louis.  The Redskins need this win despite starting out 2-0.  Both victories were at Washington, and no one is jumping on the bandwagon yet.  A win over Dallas can turn some heads and could get them noticed.  Will these two teams get their victories?

Well, that’s it for today.  Good luck with your teams and picks this week.  Leave a comment below and follow me on Twitter.com@SebastianTSU.  See you next week.

Yours Truly,

Sebastian Maldonado
