NBA & NHL Heating Up

Both postseasons are at a fever pitch, bringing excitement as the chase for glory continues. The NHL is closing in on setting their conference finals matchups. Who will win the Stanley Cup this year? Here are the standings from last night’s games:

Eastern Conference

#1 Washington Capitals vs. #5 Tampa Bay Lightning(Lightning win series 4-0)

#2 Philadelphia Flyers vs. #3 Boston Bruins (Bruins win series 4-0)

Western Conference

#1 Vancouver Canucks vs. #5 Nashville Predators (Canucks win series 4-2)

#2 San Jose Sharks vs. #3 Detroit Red Wings (Series tied 3-3)

One thing’s for sure in the NBA: there will be a new champion. The Lakers have been dethroned, which means a new champion will rise from the pack. Who will win the NBA Finals? Here are the standings from last night’s games:

Eastern Conference

#1 Chicago Bulls vs. #5 Atlanta Hawks (Bulls lead series 3-2)

#3 Boston Celtics vs. #2 Miami Heat (Heat lead series 3-1)

Western Conference

#8 Memphis Grizzlies vs. #4 Oklahoma City Thunder (Series tied 2-2)

#3 Dallas Mavericks vs. #2 Los Angeles Lakers (Mavericks win series 4-0)

The NBA playoffs continue today with the Heat against the Celtics and the Thunder against the Grizzlies. The NHL playoffs continue tomorrow as Game 7 will be decided between the Sharks and the Red Wings. Who will emerge as the new champions of basketball and hockey? Keep watching to find out.
