March Madness has officially arrived. Many fans around the country are fixated on filling their brackets with their picks for this year. Some study year out, while others find unorthodox ways to pick their winner. What advice can I give to all of you when filling out your brackets? Well, here are a few pointers for your NCAA future.

  1. Listen to the experts: even though you might disagree with some aspects of their analysis, they offer insight on who can win it all. ESPN’s team of College Basketball experts reveals the strengths and weaknesses of all current 68 teams.
  2. Beware of upsets & sleepers: not every team winning is a favorite to win their game. Many upsets have happened and changed the landscape of the tourney. George Mason made an incredible run a few years ago, and any team is capable of making a run.
  3. Don’t get personally involved: just because you might hate “Duke”, do not deny them their talent. They are seeded #1 in the West and are capable of running their division. If you want to win it all and forever win bragging rights, give the best their due.
  4. Get very lucky: better pray for your bracket to succeed. That could mean getting superstitious for some. Remember, a tourney’s success is based on the expected and the unexpected.

Good luck to each of your brackets this year and enjoy the ride. Expect to see some of the best basketball played this year. Expect last minute shots, nail-biters and a lot of drama. The NCAA March Madness should be a classic. It begins right now!

Yours Truly,
