Hey sports fans; your regularly scheduled update will take place Monday. Yet, here are a few things to look out for:

  1. World Cup Madness: the World Cup started with a bang yesterday and will last the entire month. If there’s any time to get into soccer, it’s now.
  2. UFC 115: Liddell vs. Franklin: Chuck “the Iceman” Liddell takes on Rich “Ace” Franklin in the main event. This fight is not expected to go into a decision.
  3. Interleague Competition: the American League and National League teams duke it out for round two. Expect a World Series rematch between the Yankees and Phillies. Also expect neighboring teams fighting for bragging rights.
  4. NBA Finals: The series is tied 2-2. The Lakers need to win Game 5 at Boston so they could close it out Tuesday at Los Angeles. The Celtics need to win Game 5 to salvage their home-court advantage. Regardless, every game has been exciting and well worth the price of admission.

See you Monday.

Yours Truly,

Sebastian Maldonado
