NFL Week 1 Picks September 12, 2009

Welcome to a very special update edition. This is for all the football fans that are dying for the season to get under way this Sunday. The defending Super Bowl Champion Pittsburg Steelers opened their repeat campaign in dramatic fashion. After a rough, old-school fashioned gridiron war, the Steelers beat the Tennessee Titans in overtime 13-10. Pitt did lose S Troy Polalamu for at least 3-6 weeks with a sprained MCL. They do have time for their next battle on the road to the Lombardi Trophy. Here are all of my picks for Week 1. The teams that are NOT crossed out are my picks. The s.o. stands for shutout, and the * stand for upset. Both logos will be next to the TV stations:

Now it’s time for that game that should be the best one on TV this week.

Game of the Week:

The longest rivalry in football is a battle of NFC North greats. The Chicago Bears travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers in NBC’s first Sunday Night game. New Bears QB Jay Cutler leads Chicago against Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. Both are no strangers to the cold weather, as both have strong all-around teams to lead. This game looks to be an all out war for the NFC North and could play a factor in the standings by playoff time.

Prediction: Packers 28-27

Well, that’s all the time I have for today. If you disagree with anything I say, leave a comment below or email me at spidey23us@yahoo.com. Thanks for reading and good luck with your teams.

Yours Truly,

Sebastian Maldonado
