Hey sports fans welcome to this early Thanksgiving edition of today’s sports update. It’s yours truly with the hottest news to hit sports today. It’s time for the headlines.
Guess who had his hearing yesterday? T.O. had a 14 1/2 hour hearing stating why he should at least play. Well, the hearing won’t be affective before the Eagles/Giants showdown at Jersey (not really). My picks are St. Louis, Carolina, Dallas, Jags, Miami, Pats, Wash, Giants, Atl., Seattle (shutout), San Diego, Denver, Pitt., K.C., and Minny. For Thanksgiving, Atlanta will beat Detroit & Denver should beat Dallas (note: picks subject to change).
In baseball, the Yankees resigned Hideki Matsui, who was priority #1 on their offseason hit-list. Matsui signed a four-year, $52 million deal, making him the highest paid Japanese player in the MLB. Plus, the new steroid policy is stricter and nastier. Do you like the policy or is it unfair in your opinion? The NBA has a lot of surprises: the Pistons are undefeated (8-0), the Knicks aren’t even close to .500 (okay not a surprise), and the “Phil & Kobe” sequel is decent. Yet, the team that could be a sleeper is the other team from L.A.: The Los Angeles Clippers are good so far. Will this team finally make the playoffs, or will it be “deja vu all over again”? As Dad would say: LET’S EAT ALREADY!!!! Ha-ha!! See you in a few you KNUCKLEHEADS!!!
