Hey there sports fans; welcome back to today’s sports update on location in New York City.  I’m Sebastian Maldonado with the hottest topics as I sound off on what’s hot & what’s not.  Let’s start with baseball.

First, Barry Bonds has been moved to the 60-day disabled list.  Second, the Yankees & Mets begin their Subway Series.  Finally, the only undefeated 8 game winner is Jon Garland of the Chicago White Sox (very impressive).  Congrats to Garland for a job well done & the Yanks and Mets for having a Subway Series worth seeing since 2000.  As far as the Giants are concerned, they cannot revolve around Bonds’ schedule.  Start pressuring him on his comeback and find out an actual date on when he does come back.  That’s headlines.

The Cleveland Browns’ Kellen Winslow II is out for the season due to a motorcycle accident tearing up his ACL.  Listen Winslow, this is not the time to act like a complete moron.  After getting hurt last season, you should be motivated to play for the ENTIRE season.  Now you’re sitting out for good; great career OOPS sorry, what career?  Meanwhile the Eagles & T.O. saga continues.  Look T.O., just be glad that you’re on a good team.  Here’s a punishment for T.O.: deal him to the Ravens so we could see him get knocked out by Ray Lewis.

Yesterday in the NBA playoffs, the Spurs eliminated the Sonics, and the Pistons finished off the Pacers.  This means Reggie Miller has been officially retired.  Look folks, like him or hate him, you MUST respect what he’s done for this organization.  He’s been a Pacer all his life throughout his 18 year career.  Reggie Miller was the last great 3-point shooter still playing until last night.  You don’t believe me?  Ask Quentin Richardson who shot 38% from the three-point lane but won the 3-point Shoot-out.  I know how I’ll remember him (hello: NY), but I respect him for what he’s done in the NBA.  Here is your Question of the Week: How will you remember Reggie Miller?

That’s it for the update, published every Friday night.  Reply back and see you later you KNUCKLEHEADS!!!

Yours Truly,

Sebastian Maldonado
