Hey sports fans; welcome to today’s sports update.  I’m Sebastian Maldonado with all the hottest news in sports.  For some strange reason, football has been heating up (specifically the Eagles).

Donovan McNabb laughed off Terrell Owens’ comments about him & the Eagles organization.  He said that he was happy to be on “Days on Our Lives“. McNabb also said that he cares less about what T.O. says & made fun of him before his scheduled press conference.  Meanwhile, Brett Favre was asked a question on ESPN about their 1st pick Aaron Rodgers & didn’t even mention his name.  Should we cut him some slack?  The Jets signed CB and former Patriot Ty Law; is he overrated or underrated?

Game of the Weekend: an ALCS preview between the Chicago White Sox and the Boston Red Sox.  Plus, rumor is that another big name will be out.  I suspect Curt Schilling of juicing.  I’m giving you my honest opinion.  It doesn’t take you nine months to recuperate from an ankle injury just so you could become the new closer for the team.  The man that “surprisingly” shut down the Yankees in Game 6 is now the Red Sox’s new closer?  This move does not make sense. Converting one of the best starting pitchers into a closer is too difficult. Plus, Schilling’s age is a major factor. In recent memory, Braves P John Smoltz has been very successful in this transition. However, this is just my opinion.  What do you think?

Well, that’s it for today; next week will be my last update in New York.  Next week is the 1-Year Anniversary of Today’s Sports Update.  I would like to thank you guys for keeping this going.  Thank you & see you later.

Yours Truly,

Sebastian Maldonado
